LIKE CG ADENIYI, NNADI, MAIWADA; A/COMPT MOKO JOINS THE CLUB OF PhD HOLDERS IN CUSTOMS

Welcoming the CG in his primary assignment
A/Compt Moko in one of his academic duties

In his administration, education has been made a priority, individually and collectively.
There is a lot of encouragement on the part of this leadership to give everyone the space to upgrade.
And that is the reason behind the very many officers who have taken their time to engage themselves with requisite courses at the various nation’s ivory towers.

Very young officers who are still looking into the future for greater heights are now busying themselves to hit the ivory towers’ records as one of their graduands in the third degree status as competent carriers of their PhD honours.

A great development in discourse. Public servants have therefore, discovered more than ever before, that their current employment is a stepping stone that can land them into better greener pastimes if they consciously upgrade themselves beyond the current functions and positions they hold.

The Book worm in him

A case in point is in the Nigeria Customs Service where , not withstanding the tight schedules of their functions, some of their officers have seen beyond now, to prepare themselves for post customs challenges.

The Customs Comptroller General, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, has shown the way in clinching his PhD, recently. One would wonder why this caliber of public servant still embraced the ivory tower for more knowledge, literally having got everything in life.

Psychologists will conveniently tell you that the day you stop learning, then you are as good as dead. Education is the bedrock of life, it enlarges one’s coast, irrespective of the plum position one presently occupies.

Congratulations for scaling the hurdle

In that realm, Abdullahi Maiwada , PhD, a Deputy Comptroller and customs Chief image maker, a book worm, is among the first ‘who saw tomorrow’

Our distinguished Deputy Comptroller General, Dera Nnadi, mni, PhD, is another officer who does not joke with education. He sees it as a gateway to knowledge and means to conquer fear and one’s poor background. He has just successfully defended his thesis.

The most current entrant into the club of PhD holders in the customs is the man who ensures the security of the Comptroller General, wherever he goes.

He can now be addressed as Assistant Comptroller Moko Young Daniel, PhD, having successfully defended his thesis on August 20,2026 at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, department of Public law, faculty of law.
