The Nigeria Customs Service, Oyo/Osun Area Command, has undertaken the rehabilitation of a section of the Ijokodo Road in Ibadan, Oyo State, as part of its commitment to community development and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

The intervention was carried out under the leadership of the Acting Area Controller, Deputy Comptroller Wale Moses Adewole, alongside members of the Command’s Management Team, Officers and Men, who actively participated in the fixing of the deteriorated portion of the road.

The exercise was aimed at improving accessibility, easing vehicular movement and providing relief to motorists, residents and other road users who ply the route.

The initiative underscores the Command’s commitment to complementing government efforts towards improving community infrastructure and promoting the welfare of residents.

It also reinforces the Service’s recognition that its responsibilities extend beyond revenue generation and anti-smuggling operations to include meaningful contributions to the development and wellbeing of its host communities.

The Oyo/Osun Area Command remains committed to initiatives that strengthen community relations, promote public welfare and contribute to socio-economic development.
