Serving and retired Customs officers attended the sixty years birthday of wife of Deputy Comptroller General (DCG) Alajogun at the prestigious White Stone event centre in Oregun, Ikeja.

It was a roll call of who is who in the Customs service and at the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) where DCG Alajogun is one of the pastors and the wife, Oluwatoyin Olabisi , a senior church worker.

The ceremony which started with a church service at same venue saw pastors eulogizing the meekness and humility of the celebrant , describing her as ‘very generous and a soldier of Christ’

They spoke of her humble beginning and how she has always recognized God’s increase in the life of the family.

Describing her current age of 60 as the ‘half time’, the preacher prayed that the celebrant will clock beyond a century as a sign of special blessing from God.

According to the Pastor, Mrs Oluwatosin Alajogun’s 21,900 days on earth so far have been so fruitful, counseling her to imbibe the fear of God, eat good food and exercise herself hence.

In a special tribute, DCG Alajogun, fsi, said he acknowledged the significance of the milestone and the life her wife has lived to get to this age. Saying that sixty years is not a simple journey, he noted that it connotes experience, resilience, lessons learned and responsibilities carried.

Alajogun recalled that over the years, the wife had played her matrimonial role with commitment without wavering.

‘Your contributions-seen and unseen-have helped shape our home and the lives of our children’.He stated that today is a moment to reflect on how far you have come and to look ahead with gratitude.

‘My prayer for you at 60 is simple and sincere;
‘May God grant you continued strength and sound health,

May He preserve you in peace and keep your mind clear and your body strong, May the years ahead be calm, honourable,and free from unnecessary burdens’ He wished the wife a stable and blessed season ahead.

Customs top echelon was represented by DCG Adeola. Several retired DCGs, ACGs were also present.
