TORRENTS OF EULOGIES; AS ABUJA POLITICIANS, RETIRED & SERVING CUSTOMS OFFICERS DESCRIBE DCG ALAJOGUN AS AN ASTUTE ADMINISTRATOR AT HIS RETIREMENT PARTY TODAY
Abuja politicians, retired and serving Customs officers eulogized Deputy Comptroller General (DCG) Olaniyi Alajogun, fsi today at a retirement thanksgiving service and celebrations held simultaneously at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Victoria Chapey and at the Victoria Garden Event Centre, Alausa, Ikeja.
Religious and traditional rulers were not left out as Pastor Tunde Bakari, who sent his congratulatory message virtually, described Alajogun as an incorruptible officer.
He stated that it is a thing of joy that DCG Alajogun is retiring home unblemish and active.
‘You are not retiring, but going higher.
We thank God, your journey didn’t end in a sudden death after 35 years of service to the nation, which perhaps has seen the passing of some of your colleagues.
Bakari prophesied that DCG Alajogun’s later age shall be better than the beginning.
HRM Oba Benjamin Oyeditan Olanite, the Onimeko of Imeko was on hand as a father of the day.
Very important dignitaries like former governor of Ekiti state, Ayodele Fayose, the stomach infrastructure proponent, serving senator, Francis Ade Fadahunsi, OFR and several legislators from Abuja graced the occasion.
Several retired and serving Deputy/Assistant Comptrollers General were on ground to honour their former boss.
DCGs Adeola and Carol Niagwan were also present while almost all the other DCGs -Dera Nnadi, Itoto, Omale and co. sent their goodwill messages virtually, all of them describing DCG Alajogun as their boss, humane, an administrator par excellence, a brother and above all, a man of God.
DCG Alajogun’s wife and children thanked God that their bread winner did not come back home in a wheel chair. ‘My husband is hale and hearty. The glory must go to God entirely, the wife deposed.
All the four children sent their good wishes virtually, saying their father is coming back home to rest, having worked tirelessly in the last 35 years.
Describing their lovely Dad as someone that makes them happy, they said he remains the best Dad and that the future for him is blessed.
ACGs Olomu, Ejibunu, Kayode, Aliu, DCGs Okun and Hamisu, with Comptrollers Otunla, Hadison and Joy Edeldouk were on ground to pay homage and to rejoice with a distinguished officer-DCG Alajogun, fsi.
