

OYO/OSUN AREA COMMAND DECORATES 74 NEWLY PROMOTED OFFICERS


The Oyo/Osun Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service, on Wednesday, 17th September 2025, formally decorated seventy-four (74) newly promoted officers across different cadres of the Service.
In his opening remarks, the Customs Area Controller, Comptroller Gambo Iyere Aliyu, congratulated the officers on their well-deserved elevation. He noted that the new ranks come with higher responsibilities, urging them to exhibit greater commitment, discipline, and professionalism in the discharge of their statutory duties.
Comptroller Aliyu further charged the officers to redouble their efforts and uphold the core values of the Service while delivering on the Command’s mandate of trade facilitation, revenue generation, and suppression of smuggling.

He also encouraged officers and men of the Command to engage in continuous capacity-building programs to enhance their efficiency and improve overall service delivery.
The ceremony was graced by senior officers, colleagues, and family members, who joined in celebrating the achievements of the newly promoted officers.
