ENCOMIUMS POUR IN FOR ACG DANIYAN, AS THE PTML, INDUSTRY OPERATORS DECLARE HIM AS BEST CONTROLLER OF THE COMMAND IN 2 DECADES
Torrents of encomiums came the way of distinguished Assistant Comptroller General (ACG) Daniyan today as Maritime industry operators eulogized him for raising the bar in his entire leadership function at the PTML command in Lagos.
Speakers who took their turns at a send forth organized for the ACG pointed to the B’Odogwu pilot scheme at the command which has become a reference point to other customs commands nationwide.
The simplified system, driven by the PTML under the ACG received commendations.
According to the stakeholders, the system addressed a myriad of concerns in the goods clearance chain.
‘ACG Daniyan is humble, patient, honest and very much abreast with port operations.
It is a bag of mixed feelings, but for the promotion, we would have loved he remained with us, however, we are gratified that he has been elevated’
They prayed that ACG Daniyan would rise to the next rank of Deputy Comptroller General (DCG) before his exit from the service.
A representative of the PTML who spoke on behalf of the Terminal recalled that in the last 26 years , the Terminal never got an officer that is so good like ACG Daniyan.
He expressed happiness that the goods traffic has quadrupled since ACG Daniyan came on board nearly 15 months ago. The Terminal crowned him Ambassador of the PTML’
They all wished him well, pleading that he should not abandon them when he gets to Abuja.
Responding, ACG Daniyan, who sang several Christian praise and worship songs in several Nigerian languages to appreciate God for the turn of events, attributed the entire success to the co-operation of the PTML management, the importers/exporters, officers and other stakeholders in the maritime industry.
‘All we did is to the glory of God’. He appreciated the Comptroller General, Adewale Adeniyi, MFR, for finding him worthy to do the job at the PTML. He described the B’ Odogwu first test run at the command as a credible platform that has no rival.
Laced with gospel songs to express his happiness, Daniyan stated that in the period under consideration, revenue soared , protests were not experienced, peace came in handy; indeed you are part of my history’
He prayed for the success of the industry operators who collaborated with him to steer the command on the part of tranquility, stability and sustainability.
