VICTORY DANCE FOR THE CUSTOMS POLICE AT ZONE A INTER-COMMAND GAMES; AS CGC PROMISES TO REVAMP SPORTS FACILITIES

The Customs Comptroller General, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi, PhD, MFR, has said the service will soon commence the building of modern sports infrastructure at its new Federal Operations Unit (FOU) in Iperu, Ogun state.
In an impromptu speech at the Customs inter-command final games at the Ikeja Customs Training college, he said the service is currently engaged in several sport tournaments, a pointer to the need for sports infrastructural development.
According to him, the facilities are germane to the development of talents and engagement of the youth population meaningfully.
The Customs boss thumbed up the management of the inter-command competition, noting that the commands inputs powered the success of the competition.
Adeniyi stated that the large turnout of guests at the competition is another sign that good planning was put into the organization. He congratulated all the participants and counseled them on the need for discipline to achieve their purpose.
The representation by sister agencies, he noted is a product of the synergy that has existed amongst them in the past few years, especially from the NDLEA, immigration, etcetera. Having produced athletes that have represented the country in some tournaments,he noted that the games reflected the three pillars of his administration, namely consolidation, collaboration and innovation.
Going memory lane, he noted that the service was the defending champion in male and female volleyball,making strides in basketball, football, athletics as well as beach volleyball.
He disclosed that the service was building ultra-modern sporting complex in Kano and would be concluded soon.
