

D/COMPT ADEWOLE, ANTI-SMUGGLING EXPERT ANNOUNCES HIS ARRIVAL AT OYO/OSUN COMMAND WITH N2.7 BILLION SEIZURES IN ONE MONTH; POSTING N99.5 BILLION REVENUE FOR 2025


Oyo/Osun customs command under the new Area Controller, Deputy Comptroller Wale Moses Adewole has gone full blast in its seizure profile of illicit products in the last one month of the new helmsman.
More than N2.7 billion worth of prohibited goods were intercepted in the period under consideration, giving Adewole a clean start.
Deputy Comptroller Adewole is one of today’s anti-smuggling experts and a product of ACG Ade Fadahunsi’s mentorship.

He said these items were intercepted at various flashpoints across the Command’s Area of Responsibility through credible intelligence, sustained patrols, and strategic enforcement operations.
In the area of revenue generation, he said the Command collected the revenue of the total of ₦8,374,471,941.10k (Eight Billion, Three Hundred and Seventy-Four Million, Four Hundred and Seventy-One Thousand, Nine Hundred and Forty-One Naira, Ten Kobo) for the month of December 2025. However, it is worthy of note that the Command’s surpassed the Revenue target of the year 2025; ₦86,297,581,081.00k (Eighty-Six Billion, Two Hundred and Ninety-Seven Million, Five Hundred and Eighty-One Thousand, Eighty-One Naira Only) with a Revenue Target Surplus of ₦13,135, 424, 793.29k (Thirteen Billion, One Hundred and Thirty-Five Million, Four Hundred and Twenty-Four Thousand, Seven Hundred and Ninety-Three Naira, Twenty-Nine Kobo) resulting to a 15.22% increase in the year 2025 revenue target. This reflects on improved compliance, effective monitoring, and the commitment of officers to lawful trade facilitation.

According to him, the Oyo/Osun Area Command remain committed in its zero-tolerance against smuggling and other forms of economic disruption. They will continue to collaborate with sister security agencies and engage stakeholders to achieve our shared objective of national economic security.
He also cautioned smugglers and unpatriotic elements to desist from illegal activities, as the Command will not relent in the discharge of its statutory responsibilities.
