Comptroller of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Federal Operations Unit (FOU) Zone B, Comptroller Musa Ibrahim Jalo has disclosed that smuggled items seized under his watch is worth over two billion Naira.
Comptroller Jalo disclosed this while delivering a welcome address, when the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, paid a working visit to the zone yesterday.
“Since assumption of office, many arrests and seizures have been made worth over two billion Naira,” he said.
According to him, the feat was achieved through commitment of officers and men of the FOU Zone B. The feat was achieved through various patrols and commitment of officers.
“Your visit today has further given is assurance that we have your support in discharging services,” he said.
Comptroller Jalo therefore, appreciate the management of the Nigeria Customs Service for contracts awarded in the FOU, which he said, would further serve as motivation.
“Let me on behalf of our officers and men of FOU Zone B, thank the Comptroller General for the visit. We are delighted to have you sir, thank you and God bless,” he said..
Comptroller Jalo used the opportunity to congratulate the CG for his appointment.
