The Ag. Customs Area Controller, Oyo/Osun Area Command, DC Moses Adewole, has reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening inter-agency cooperation through a series of courtesy visits to key security and regulatory agencies in Oyo State. The visits, which took place between 17 and 19 February 2026, were aimed at reinforcing existing partnerships and enhancing synergy in the areas of intelligence sharing, joint operations, and national security.

On Tuesday, 17 February 2026, DC Adewole led his management team on a courtesy visit to the Department of State Services (DSS), Oyo State Command, Ibadan, where he was received by the State Director, Mr. Rahim Adelakun. The Ag. CAC expressed appreciation for the warm reception and commended the DSS for its vital role in safeguarding lives, property, and national security. He emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration between both agencies.

In his response, the DSS State Director, Mr. Rahim Adelakun, appreciated the visit and acknowledged the Nigeria Customs Service as a critical institution in Nigeria’s economic development and border protection. He assured the Ag. CAC of the DSS’s continued support through effective intelligence sharing, joint operations, and capacity-building initiatives.

Similarly, on Wednesday, 18 February 2026, the Ag. CAC paid a courtesy visit to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Oyo State Command, where he was received by the State Commander, Commander Oluwarotimi Lawal, and his management team. Commander Lawal commended the Nigeria Customs Service for its strategic role in curbing illicit trafficking and assured the Command of the NDLEA’s maximum cooperation. DC Adewole, in his remarks, appreciated the NDLEA for its partnership and reiterated his commitment to strengthening the existing relationship.

Furthermore, on Thursday, 19 February 2026, the Ag. CAC visited the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC), Southwest Zonal Office, Ibadan, where he was received by the Zonal Coordinator, Dr. Isaac Anjorin Kolawole. DC Adewole acknowledged NAFDAC’s critical role in regulating food and drug safety and reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to continued collaboration in protecting public health and national interest.

In his response, Dr. Kolawole commended the Nigeria Customs Service for its contributions to revenue generation, anti-smuggling operations, and border security. He assured the Ag. CAC of NAFDAC’s sustained cooperation and emphasized the importance of inter-agency synergy in achieving effective service delivery and national development.

These visits underscore the commitment of the Oyo/Osun Area Command to fostering stronger partnerships with sister agencies in order to enhance operational efficiency, strengthen national security, and contribute to the overall socio-economic development of the country.
